Is HyperOS faster than MIUI?

Xiaomi, a notable player in the smartphone market, is known for its feature-rich and user-friendly MIUI (Mi User Interface). Recently, the company introduced a new operating system, the Xiaomi HyperOS. With promises of optimizations, AI features, and enhanced user experiences, HyperOS aims to outperform its predecessor, MIUI 14.
At first glance, it's challenging to differentiate between MIUI 14 and the new HyperOS as both systems offer similar layouts and designs. However, upon closer inspection, some subtle differences come to light. In HyperOS, the icons sport slightly desaturated colors, giving them a more subdued and refined appearance. Moreover, some icons have undergone minor design tweaks.
HyperOS introduces "Advanced Textures," an innovation that enhances the visual experience by adding rendering effects like blurring across the system¹. While this feature may not be instantly noticeable in everyday usage, it is a significant addition for users who appreciate attention to detail and visual polish.
In terms of performance, early tests suggest HyperOS offers snappier performance and efficiency gains over MIUI. The OS occupies less storage space too. Furthermore, HyperOS is an interface based on Android 14. Xiaomi has developed the smallest firmware size interface with the HyperOS interface. Xiaomi improved memory, graphics, app performance, and the file system for better optimization. These features make the interface faster and smoother. They use less storage and memory.
