Reunited Couple Kanye West and Bianca Censori Sue His Dentist for Malpractice, Providing Nitrous Oxide
The rap mogul became addicted to the "laughing gas" and was supplied copious amounts to the couple's home, a letter from their lawyers states.
Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are back together as a couple after an apparent split, their publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter, and are preparing to sue the rap mogul’s former dentist for medical malpractice by supplying him with nitrous oxide and the intravenous anesthetic and sedative propofol, fraudulent billing, and multiple other alleged crimes.
In a formal notice of intent to initiate litigation sent to Dr. Thomas Connelly from Golden Law on Wednesday and signed by Andrew Cherkasky, the law firm’s president, the dentist’s alleged malpractice involving West is outlined in detail. Ye was a patient of Connelly starting in 2024 through earlier this year. During that time, he underwent various cosmetic procedures, including the placement of specialized prosthodontic work, a custom titanium crown and other cosmetic treatments. Connelly allegedly supplied the rapper with nitrous oxide and encouraged unsupervised self-administration while ignoring clear adverse neurological and behavioral signs apparent in the patient, the letter states.
Evidence shows that during the time Ye was under your care, you engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,” the letter states. “These actions were not isolated incidents but rather part of a pattern of improper conduct by you from 2024 through 2025 while Ye was your patient. Ms. Censori, as Ye’s spouse, was a witness to and impacted by many of these events (some of which took place at their shared residence).”
Connelly’s website touts him as a pioneer in luxury cosmetic dentistry for men, stating that “the world’s most influential men trust Dr. Thomas Connelly to craft their signature smiles. Designed for high-profile men, athletes, and those who demand the best.” He offers his services out of Beverly Hills, Manhattan offices and by appointment anywhere. A message sent by THR to his practice asking for a comment on Thursday did not harder an immediate response.
West, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, displayed behavior that was erratic before and during the period when he was in Connelly’s care, but in those months, he did make several bizarre public statements and go on social media tirades, where he at one point praised Adolf Hitler and denounced the #MeToo movement. West also purchased local advertising during Super Bowl LIX, in which he appeared for his fashion and shoe brand, Yeezy, that aired toward the end of the game. In the spot, West was shown lying down at the dentist, shooting the spot on an iPhone front-facing camera, with sunglasses on.
“I spent, like, all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” the rapper said, showing off his diamond-encrusted teeth. “Once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Um … Um … Go to Yeezy.com.”
